Well, it was backordered and impossible to get more of. We have had many come in looking desperately for this amazing video since the showing at the Park Theatre.

Finally, our first batch (of hopefully many) of the new film from the Collective has arrived. First come, first served. So, if you want one you had better act fast – these probably won’t last long.

New Point of Sale System In Place!

Alright, we may be more excited about this than you are – but nevertheless this is cool stuff. Alter Ego Sports is proud to announce that we have officially instituted our new point of sale system, that is going to make our busy bike system run much more efficiently and swiftly.

It allows us to process customers more efficiently and even during peak hours we can process more transactions simultaneously than ever before – this means less time waiting in line! Bringing something in for service? Instead of only having the option to call you, this new system will automatically email you if you provide us with your email address so that you are alerted to your bike’s completion immediately! Cool stuff indeed.

Here is a feature that I think is top-notch. As we work on tweaking our information in the system, we are linking the product in our store with the product listed on our website. Meaning, if we have an item in stock, it will display on our site. Soon enough, if our site displays something as in stock, you will have peace of mind knowing that that designation is correct! Our site is updated every morning, and we may increase that frequency as soon as the linking is complete. Right now we are focusing on cycling products, soon we will tackle paintball products, and then all of the new snow gear will make its way over as the summer winds down.

Last quick feature – want to know everything we have on sale? We now have a quick sale link page that lists everything on sale on our site, including items that aren’t specifically listed in our online catalog. Everything listed in a table format alphabetically with sale prices…check it out here: Alter Ego Stuff on Sale

Of course right now we are still tweaking and learning the system. Give us a few days and we’ll be rocking out with this thing. Can you tell we’re excited!

New shipment of gear from JT Sports has arrived!

Just before the weekend hit, we received our latest order from JT Sports, which includes products from Viewloader, Worr Games, and of course JT USA. We received an array of product to replenish our depleted shelves, and wanted to share with you new product that is worth a sneak peek.

VL Giant Mouth Shells

First up are the new Viewloader Vlocity coloured shells. You may have been previous Big Mouth shells in camo, red, and blue. Well, VL has released more colours and they look very slick and are definitely eye-catching. We now have multiple colours in stock at the store – regular camo, and the new colours shown below: pearl, urban, and silver (clockwise from top left). The silver looks very dark in the picture, but believe me it is definitely silver. One might even call it gunmetal. Or titanium. You get the idea.

JT Spectra 2 FrameNext up from JT is their new Spectra 2 goggle frames for their popular Spectra goggle lineup. To add some spice to your JT Spectra check out these nice frames. You can’t paint a frame and have it last for a long period of time, but these shells are colour injected meaning that the colour is part of the frame, and won’t scratch off. Also, the frame comes with a thermal lens, and considering the cost of a lens, you are really getting this frame for about $15. Sweet. In stock in white. We can bring in other colours upon request or special order. They have some other sweet colours avail. Go stormtroooper – you know you want to.

JT ReaperWe also received a few of the new quick change lens goggles from JT. They have HUGE lenses…I haven’t seen lenses that give THIS much peripheral vision before. It is actually strange, because these lenses provide so much vision it is actually disconcerting when you are looking at the goggles. They have plenty of room for air to ventilate out of your mouth while playing to keep the chances of fogging to a minimum. Add to this a removal front rubber grill for those who want to ditch the weight and change the look – these goggles are pretty cool. We have them in black, and they are available in other colours for those who are interested.

We also received some new paint that is part of the new Fluid line, so we will have paint starting at $50 and up which looks to be very good paint with a thick fill and good shell. Once it warms up and people can start playing regularly, we will hear how well it stacks up in our climate.

What else did we get in? Well, we also brought in some entry level markers for those looking to get decent markers for stupid cheap. We have some VL markers in both mechanical and electronic in stock are at an amazing price. We are going to put some nice packages together for those who want to get into the sport. The Lancer is red and is the cheapest decent marker out there. If you want an electronic version, we have that in blue/black and it is called the Hi Voltage. We also brought in some of the new 2008 JT harnesses. They are pretty slick and I think we’ll keep these in stock all year.
